The future Dr. Rikell Ford joins us on this episode to discuss how the educational system, unconscious bias, and stereotypes influence how young girls (specifically black girls) in care shape perception of themselves. Rikell shares her experiences as not only a foster parent, professional in child welfare, and researcher.
