In this episode of Education Insight, we meet two incredible young achievers: Alisa Perales, a 10-year-old who is about to graduate from Crafton Hills College with two associate degrees in mathematics and multiple sciences, and Victoria Li, a 6th grader from Riverside County who just became the champion of the 47th Annual Riverside County Spelling Bee. Alisa shares her journey of homeschooling, overcoming social challenges, and pursuing her dream of studying computer science at Stanford, while her father, Rafael, talks about the decisions that led them to this point. Victoria, on the other hand, takes us through the intense preparation that led her to the spelling bee championship and her plans for the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Both students are shining examples of what hard work, determination, and passion for learning can accomplish.
Listen to their stories and find out what motivates them, what challenges they've faced, and what their bright futures hold.
