The State of Florida offers a pathway for licensure that allows an individual to obtain licensure to practice medicine while working as a full-time faculty member at an accredited medical school within the state. This reserved type of licensure is designed for individuals who graduated an accredited medical school or is a graduate of a foreign medical school recognized by the World Health Organization who did not complete residency in the United States. The Medical Faculty Certificate allows for qualified holder to practice medicine in conjunction with their faculty position at an accredited medical school. The Florida Board of Medicine outlines the requirements for requisite education, licensure, postgraduate training, and restrictions on where to practice.
