Christ’s superiority to the earthly high priestly Levitical system is seen through his superior compassion for men. We are encouraged to emulate the same compassion and everything that we do for Christ. This week’s episode in the first four verses of Hebrews 5 gives at least four injunctions for why we must develop a passion for compassion, just like Christ.
