Here's my entry for round 16 of Everyone Flips which is a Facebook group where participants all make a beat using the same sample, followed by a listening party of all the submissions.

So it's kind of "22 producers, 1 sample"!

This time we're flipping "You", by Master Plan Inc.

Short blurb: Once I heard the chorus on the original I thought "well, let's do a twist on this one".

So as usual I went to mvsep.com and used Demucs4 to strip the "others" track, which included the sax/guitar/etc.

Doubled the speed and chose a couple bits that I considered interesting to make loops out of them.

Those blended perfectly with these Rhodes phrases I had combined a few days before.

This is the basis of the track.

Then it was just finding the right deep bass, dope beat and some adds to keep it interesting and there you go, a nice Deep Jazzy House track from yours truly. ;)
