EFFECTIVE PRAYER GOES WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUSTICE. PORTALSGATE PROPHETIC PRAYER SCHOOL. SESSION 317.

Prayer is an effective, strategic spiritual principle in engaging seemingly difficult and extraordinarily complex human problems. When we pray with the heart of truth and integrity, we are given the right, ascended perspective into the nature of things, especially those things that may look as if we do not have a clear, direct, answer in dealing with them. 

Often, we find ourselves in a situation that is indirectly suggesting we take a side even when we know that the Lord hates an unjust scale.  The current social challenge in America with the death of the African American with the name Floyd needs to be viewed in the light of God’s truth and justice system and not from a prejudicial, politically correct ideology which we see already playing out.

We stand to condemn every form of violence from both sides of the divide. However, we must lay blame on the provocative attitude of some of the law enforcement officers who seem to have an issue with people of a different color or race just as we still see here in South Africa. When I say lay blame, I mean, someone should be held accountable for the death of a person whose condition does not pose a threat to the officers arresting him.  All lives matter to God, especially the lives of those who have been wrongly profiled by the state because of their historic journey or color of skin.

We should not be addressing this kind of issue in the 21st century; the world has come a long way to be still dragged backward with the issue of identity, race, and color, but the unfortunate reality is, we are here and we should correctly address this lingering problem before it gets out of hand. Threatening people with military intervention is totally out of order and shows a deep sense of disconnection from the truth and the position of righteousness the American president says he stands for. When you deploy the military, who are the people who will die? Of cause, many of the Africa Americas as they call them.

The problem of America is more of a spiritual problem than any other pressing matter. If the Church in America remains divided on the line of belief and theology, that is a house divided against itself which cannot stand. When certain quarters of the church Body in America refuses to recognize that there’s systemic injustice taking place before its very eyes and on the other hands choose to side a government that refuses to make a clear statement of condemnations of the injustice carried out in its name, that speaks volume regarding how such leadership regards the lives of it, citizen, we cannot and should never be dragged into soulish and carnal pray that is not established on the foundation of righteousness and justice.

Effective prayer is one that is built on truth and honesty and not on fear of threat. David showed us how to pray with the heart of integrity, even when he knows he will be judged for his sin. When we seek to use scripture or others means to cover or excise our wrongdoing, the Lord will not answer our prayer. Prayer starts with the heart of truth and forgiveness.   We need to rise up and pray for our nations, particularly, the nation of America in these trying times but such prayer and intercession should foundation on righteousness. Justice, equity, and not on religious bias and prejudice.
