Nigeria continues to experience a massive brain drain as the number of Nigerians migrating to other countries skyrockets. The current net migration rate for Nigeria in 2022 is -0.280 per 1000 population (Macrotrends). A report published by the UK Home Office shows Nigeria has the highest number of migrants to the United Kingdom (UK) in the year ending June 2022 and has become the third largest nationality group in the country.

This #Japa trend has diverse effects on the country and specifically, the tech sector as most of these migrants are technically skilled.
