The plane made radio contact at 5:01am UTC and the pilot confirmed ‘We expect to arrive in Bangkok on time. Time and location normal’.
This was the last known location of the aircraft, before it disappeared over the Andaman Sea just after 5:10am.
The authorities checked details of the passengers onboard, and realised that two passengers had changed their plans last minute and disembarked Korean Flight 858. When they checked the passengers passport details, they realised they were false...
