It’s 1999. What do you do with your life after “Mystery Science Theater 3000” is cancelled? If you’re makeup artist Andrea “Action Jackson” DuCane, you become a world-renowned kettlebell instructor! Andrea discusses her many years at MST3K, as well as her life as a fitness guru. And podcast regular James Rohling drops by the show, mostly to heckle Greg. Meanwhile, the gang discusses their original comedy horror radio play, a Halloween special parody of “War of the Worlds.” In “Spooky Movies We’d Like To See Riffed,” Ryan and Greg enthusiastically endorse 1991’s dudebro fraternity slasher flick, “Hauntedween.” And Kate examines the new “Jaws”- themed album by the band Squalus, as well as a newly scientifically described species of beetle named after Neil Gaiman (and the philosophical underpinnings of attaching a GoPro to your cat). In the “Mini Soda Review,” the gang gives mixed reviews to New York State’s Johnnie Ryan Grape. Greg firmly schools Erica (again) on why there needs to be “A Very Adamant Stance” against dog shirts. But Erica is having none of it. And James and Ron discuss the classic MST3K short, “Mr. B Natural.” All this and a “Scooby's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics” roiled by a drug testing scandal, when the Yogi Yahooeys and Really Rottens test positive, but the Scooby Doobies are weirdly found to be clean, on this week’s episode of the Revival League Podcast!
