A Double Bay waterfront apartment owned by the late Eileen Bond, wife of controversial businessman Alan Bond, has been listed for $17 million. The eccentric two-storey property with sweeping Sydney Harbour views was purchased by the couple in 1986 for $1.2 million and features four bedrooms, formal lounge and dining spaces, and a lift between levels. The socialite known as 'Red' entertained Australia's elite including Barry Humphries, Bob Hawke and Lady Susan Renouf at the harbourside residence, which is being sold by her children seven months after her death.
