Enjoyable learning experience
The German is easy enough for an intermediate student to read. Plot and characters good enough to keep me coming back to it. I read this as an ebook. With today's good pop-up electronic dictionaries, it was a good experience.
Spanned. For intermediate German language skills.
I liked the book enough to buy more. My favorite German Krimis are the Pia Korittki Krimis.
History
It's like reading bullet points of history. I was hoping for story lines of each person's life.
A boss with a handicap
The first case of Manfred Wegner after he advanced from a beat cop in Hamburg to the homicide commission. Easy to follow plot, unavoidable ending, unpleasant characters. The victims were not blameless and the policemen not really sympathetic. Several highly improbable scenes necessary to propel the story to its end.

I bought the book because it was cheap., and got what I paid for. I red it in German. The author is trying too hard tp be "hip" -- - - sloppy language (probably on pur[se,), silly characeters and relationships. The plot has potential. As it is, the book is nowhere at the level of a Charlotte Link or Eva Almstaedt..
