A fourth at the 2008 Olympics with Rob Waddell was crunch time for Nathan....stay or go?
The result proved to be the catalyst to drive Nathan toward Gold in London 2012.
It's the four years in between that made the difference.
Four years of hard work, commitment, a strategy and a point to prove.
Nathan and Joseph Sullivan teamed up and took out the Gold in 2012....from the back of the pack to first, with a huge last 250 meters. Take the time to watch how they did it.

As a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his services to rowing, Nathan is also a two-time world champion. In 2006, rowing a single scull, he won a gold medal at the World University Games.
