We’d been living in Argentina less than three months. Lindsay’s parents and brother were visiting so we rented a house near a river in a small town called Villa Los Aromos. It was a nice day and we’d been swimming in the river. A family approached and sat near us. The dad, a middle aged, shirtless, roundish man sat and played his guitar. I hit record. This is the sound of that late summer afternoon in the Sierras de Córdoba. Lindsay’s brother can be heard at the end, exclaiming “bravo!”
