Today is gospel Sunday
I thank God for this opportunity to worship with you. As I have come from Mt. Olives , Presiding Elder is also preaching in Mt Olives today.
Today we are crowning the ministries week and it’s a day we dress in the ministries attire.
Topic: Remember your Creator in the days of your youth before the days of trouble come.
This is a long title but we’ll break it down today.
Proverbs show that our glory is identified through our strength. The youth should be vibrant. Unfortunately, our youth didn’t show the enthusiasm I expected when they were called upon to bring song. I’m very happy about the women’s ministry this morning. They danced fo the men, youth and evangelism ministries
Life is in stages
Life begins at forty per the world standards and according to the Church of Pentecost, it’s from 13 to 35 years.
Why does the Bible say do the most for God in your youthful days?
Let’s go to Proverbs 20
When I was a bachelor, I was told to look at lady I intend to marry's mother. That will tell me how she will look in the future.
I can remark that all the young ladies here are beautiful, but see, this beauty will not last forever.
Let me use myself as an example
I’m slightly above 40 years now. I remember I was very strong before but now, I can’t do some activities anymore.
Same applies to the youth.
We can’t deceive nature. My grandma is blind today and she doesn’t have the strength as before.
Would you wait till you get old to serve the Lord?
This is the time to serve the Lord.
Your youthful days are the time to live well. You will have to plan your life. Live with the future in perspective.
Some people don’t save, they spend most of the money to buy classy things.
The youth can be identified with their strength.
There’s a gentleman in the youth. He is wise as and uses the wisdom God has blessed him with and his intellect to further and enrich the ministry.
He’s an example and that’s what we should do.
What spiritual gift have you been blessed with?
Have you identified your spiritual gift?
How can you serve God with what you’ve been blessed with?
Some youth today are mostly late comers and are concerned if their seats are clean.
Well, you could also come clean the church.
So, God has given you a spiritual gift, what are you doing with it? Have you hidden it ?
