Scott and Eric sit down with James Stevens and speak with him about his mission to Canada. James is the oldest missionary which we have interviewed up to this point. Topics discussed include: serving amidst the Vietnam War; President Kimball ramping up mission work; having little idea of what a mission is because of not knowing many who have served; going to the mission home in Salt Lake City as opposed to the MTC; having to memorize the discussions; flying on an airplane over Idaho; serving in the mission office; teaching the Lamanites; making meals as a missionary; serving on an island; car accidents in the mission car and much more.
