In this entry, I’m talking about checking out of Hotel California. I’ve lived here since I was 10 years of age, been in L.A. since 2013. While this city has given me plenty of room to grow and be myself, it’s starting to feel more and more claustrophobic. It’s a place that I see as progressive ideologically, but not as much in practice. I think it’s the nature of this place where people come to chase dreams, but forget what it means to be a good, healthy person. So perhaps it’s time to see what else is out there in the world.
