Eleanor Dubinsky, Sally Ponzio, & Frank Ponzio – “Remember Me”

Listen Later

Eleanor Dubinsky and Frank Ponzio play music together.  Frank’s sister Sally experienced the loss of her son through drug overdose. At a certain point in her grieving Sally wrote a poem which she “received” from her son.  Sally, Frank and Eleanor tell us about their process as they collaborated on what was to become the song Remember Me.

The conversation is about loss and grief, about the song, about co-creation, and the role of creativity in human life.

We’ll also be listening to music from Eleanor Dubinsky’s most recent album Soft Spot Of My Heart, featuring original songs by Eleanor and more collaborations with Frank Ponzio.  This is music that lifts us up by reminding us of some of the finer aspects of our humanity.
