Election day is all about voting, but here in the North Country election night is all about eating and gathering with neighbors. There were community suppers in church basements, fire stations and grange halls all over the region.

Normally these dinners are a chance to put political differences aside. But this is a time of deep polarization for the country. So we set out to measure the mood and see how people are feeling about our democracy.
