Over the last few decades the personal wealth of the candidates has become a significant issue in the campaign. The issue that we address in this lesson is whether wealth makes any difference in successful and effective leadership.

We will seek to understand why Jewish sources stress the positive importance for leaders of seemingly superficial physical and material qualities, such as an appealing appearance and wealth.
