What if the life you’re trying so hard to create doesn’t actually need you to try harder?

What if it needs more laughter, more play, more creativity, more pleasure, and more moments where you’re having so much fun you forget to perform at all?

We’re in the middle of eclipse season, and Venus has completely stolen the show this weekend. She’s home in Libra, the Moon is moving into Libra, and the energy feels alive, electric and deeply connected to desire.

So today we’re talking about something bigger than astrology.

When did everything become a project? Our bodies, our businesses, our healing, even our creativity?

And what did you love before you needed it to be useful?

Maybe some of the exhaustion we’re feeling isn’t only because we’re doing too much. Maybe we’re doing too little of what makes us feel truly alive.

This is a conversation about pleasure without productivity. Creativity without content. Joy without justification. And remembering the woman underneath all the roles, responsibilities and expectations.

And that’s allowed.

Especially here in the middle of eclipse season, when so much is being shaken loose. You may be noticing the places where you’ve continued choosing something because it made sense, because you’d already committed to it, or because it kept the people around you comfortable.

Today asks a different question:

What actually feels alive to me now?

There’s also a beautiful reminder in today’s astrology about self trust. We are surrounded by information, opinions, advice and endless answers. But information eventually has to land somewhere.

It has to land in you.

What are you noticing? What are your senses telling you? What excites you? What feels like it has energy behind it?

You can gather all the information in the world, but eventually you have to live your own life.

Today on The Current, we’re talking about changing desires, trusting what your body is telling you, moving from information into action, and giving yourself permission to choose from what is true now.

Yesterday’s eclipse turned the lights down. Today, something quieter is starting to make itself known.

With the Moon finishing its journey through Leo alongside the South Node, and Jupiter continuing its dance with Hygeia, today feels like a reclamation.

There may be something you once loved deeply. A dream. A creative part of yourself. A way you expressed yourself. A stage you wanted to stand on.

And maybe somewhere along the way, it hurt.

It didn’t work out the way you imagined. Someone redirected you. You burned yourself out trying. You stopped feeling supported. Or life simply took you somewhere else.

But that doesn’t necessarily mean that part of you is finished.

Today I’m talking about tending to the performer inside of us. The artist. The creator. The woman with a heart fire that may have gone quiet for a while, but never actually went out.

We’re still inside the eclipse snow globe, so you don’t need to know exactly where any of this is going.

Be curious.

What are you remembering?

What still lights something up inside you when you think about it?

What would you love to reclaim simply because it makes you feel more like yourself?

Maybe you don’t need the whole new dream yet.

Maybe today you just notice that there’s still a little fire there.

Welcome to eclipse season, gorgeous. We are officially IN it.

Today we have a New Moon total solar eclipse in Leo, and the cosmic weather feels a little like somebody picked up a snow globe and shook the absolute shit out of it.

There’s a ton of fire. There’s information flying everywhere. Mars and Pluto are out of bounds. Mercury is incredibly active. And there is ZERO earth in the sky.

And then I looked up the Sabian symbol connected to this eclipse and nearly peed myself.

Intoxicated chickens flapping their wings trying to fly.

I mean, COME ON.

Because that image beautifully captures what I want us to remember today.

There can be enormous inspiration right now. New ideas. Revelations. A sudden awareness that something you’ve wanted for years isn’t actually what you want anymore. You may see an old identity, relationship, ambition, role or way of expressing yourself completely differently.

But you don’t have to immediately DO something with everything you discover.

Do not mistake ignition for integration.

This eclipse is happening in Leo alongside the South Node, bringing our attention to visibility, creativity, identity, expression, performance, recognition and personal power.

And one of the questions I’m sitting with is:

Where am I actually inhabiting my power, and where am I still putting it on like a cape?

Where are you still flapping really fucking hard?

Where are you looking for applause, validation or evidence that you’re doing it right?

Who have you become so committed to being that you haven’t left yourself any room to become someone else?

Maybe the stage you’ve been performing on isn’t the one you want anymore.

Maybe the ambition that once lit you up has quietly become an obligation.

Maybe something entirely new is beginning to reveal itself, but it hasn’t fully formed yet.

Perfect.

You don’t need to know what it means today.

Your mind may be ready to rocket launch while your body is saying, “Gorgeous, we need a sandwich first.”

Listen to her.

Eat. Drink some water. Move your body. Get outside. Get in the water. Give all of this information somewhere to LAND.

Something can be deeply true without requiring immediate action.

Let the lights go out where they need to go out.

Sit in the dark for a minute.

See what remains when nobody is watching and nobody is clapping.

And for the love of God, gorgeous, do not be the drunk chicken.

Mars has officially moved into Cancer, the Moon is in Leo, both Mars and the Moon are out of bounds, and there is a LOT of fire moving through the sky today.

So before you take everything personally, blow something up, or decide you need to completely overhaul your life, check your inner temperature.

In today’s The Current, we’re talking about what happens when our emotional world, our communication and our desire to express ourselves all get turned up at the same time.

Mars in Cancer brings action into the territory of the body, intuition, nourishment and home. The Moon in Leo brings our heart, creativity and self-expression into the conversation. And with Mars still out of bounds, some of what we’re feeling may be louder or more reactive than usual.

This is where the thermostat analogy came through for me.

Think about the thermostat in your home. You set the temperature, and as conditions change outside, your system continually adjusts to bring the house back to where you want it.

We can learn to do the same thing internally.

What changes your temperature?

Which conversations turn the heat up?

Which people make you feel like you have to perform?

What brings you back into yourself?

And what happens when you notice the shift without immediately judging yourself or reacting to it?

There’s also a beautiful grand air trine still moving between Venus, Uranus and Pluto, bringing information, ideas, liberation and transformation into the mix.

There is a LOT to work with today.

You don’t have to do something dramatic with every feeling that comes through.

Notice it. Get curious. Pay attention to what’s influencing your internal world and give yourself some gentleness while everything moves through.

Then ask yourself:

What temperature do I actually want to live at?

Today’s Current is about remembering the parts of yourself you thought you had left behind.

This weekend, I stepped back onto a stage and sang again after years away from that part of my life. Something cracked open. By Monday morning, I had written and recorded a song for the first time in more than two decades.

That’s the kind of energy we’re in right now.

With the Moon in Cancer, Mars still out of bounds, Mercury newly in Leo, and eclipse season already making itself known, there is a strong invitation to trust the things that are calling you back to yourself.

The old creative spark. The dream you shelved. The version of you who used to make things simply because she loved them.

And there’s another layer to this too. The brighter you become, the more visible you become. That can bring opinions, projection, jealousy, criticism, and all the usual noise. But when you know who you are and why you’re doing what you’re doing, that noise loses some of its power.

The line I want you to carry today is this:

If you approve of you, the day is already here.

You do not need to wait for someone else to choose you, validate you, tell you you’re ready, or decide that what you’re creating is good enough.

Whatever is sitting on your heart right now, give it somewhere to go.

Write it. Sing it. Share it. Build it. Let it rip.

Something you see, hear or experience could suddenly give you new information about yourself and the relationships you’re in.

The invitation today is to land it in your body before your mind runs away with it.

What are you sensing? What are you noticing? How does your body feel around certain people? Where do you feel expansive, alive and fully yourself? Where does your energy seem to disappear?

Venus in Libra is deeply relational, but she also knows her value. As our relationships and energetic commitments continue to transform, we get to notice what actually feels reciprocal, balanced and beautiful now.

So move your body. Get outside. Pay attention to your senses. Let the information land before you have the spicy conversation.

Your body may already know something your mind is still trying to figure out.
