We are delighted to present this special recording of the b2b by Thomas Carmody and Kooscha at Contact, the Spacelunch label showcase at Subterra Studios in Den Haag, the Netherlands.

Founder of the dub techno label @spclnch and @chippychasers, Thomas is a musician and designer who sees beauty in the smallest details. His commitment to the aesthetics of minimalism allows him to make the surroundings stylish and concise.

Ukrainian-born, Australian artist currently based in Cologne, Kooscha is known for his signature deep and dubby textures. He resides in the realms of minimal house and dub techno, while effortlessly avoiding being bound by them. His finesse behind the decks and attention to detail is remarkable making him one not only to watch, but one to hear, digest, and be inspired by.

Their b2b is a carefully selected atmospheric deep dub techno journey, slow tempo and infinite delayes combined in dreamy hazy soundscapes.

Amanita is a Bologna-raised, Berlin-based dj, scenographer and curator. Operating on the leftfield shores of music, her sets are driven by intuition and storytelling. Letting go of pre-defined boundaries and definitions, always genre-bendering around, she believes that dance is never about the speed of the sound nor listening about the absence of rhythm - but about the soulful depths of music, combined to the alchemic magics of the narrative process. Amanita is also the curator and founder of @sinestesie_s - a party series based in Bologna as well as project @carpet-airlines, dedicated to hybrid dancefloor and experimentations.

This set is a mysterious-dubbed-ambient journey crafted to explore the depth of how the unknow may sounds like, moving into rhythmic yet tripped-out atmospheres- being enlightened and dark at the same time.

Born in Alicante, Spain, Yasei is a sound sculptor shaped by a lifelong connection to music and underground culture. With releases on experimental techno labels such as @mirrorzone , @qeone and @emahorecords , his works explore immersive techno through carefully crafted rhythms, textures, and atmospheres, creating a sound that moves between intensity and introspection. Driven by experimentation, Yasei continues to develop a distinctive and evolving sonic identity.

This live set was recorded in a party this summer especially for EMC series to showcase new sounds and experiments for future releases.

Based in Romania, DYL is a experimental producer with releases on such labels as @nordlabel, @alphacut, @mirrorzone - Cycle Bender Series, @absysrecords, @further-records, @curious_rawganics, @dubkraftrecords, Syncopathic Recordings, @urbanpoetry, @monikereggplant, @turbine-music and many others. Moreover, DYL is the founder of @achordat For this occasion, DYL proposed a deep atmospheric journey to get in touch with natural elements.

"I wanted to create a mix that reflects and somehow traces the way I feel when hiking moving through the landscape, slowing down, and becoming more attentive to the subtle movements and rhythms of nature. The shifting light, the wind through the trees, distant sounds, changing textures and all those small, almost imperceptible gestures in the environment became a kind of emotional reference point for the mix" - DYL

E.M.C. atmospheres #135 - Microtubuli (live modular)

Hailing from North East Italy, Microtubuli is the noise/experimental project launched in 2023 by Daniele and Sasha. Lovers of experimental soundscapes of all kinds, Microtubuli pushes the limits of equipment and with what one can perceive as sound. There are two attracting poles that construct and deconstruct the sonic textures: the search for the lush and the will to destroy. Their performances always display this dichotomy and tension, both within the individual piece, and between different compositions. Together with their friend Rodrigo, Daniele and Sasha are also co-founder of Trilobyte records, a recently-born label dedicated to noise and experimental music.

The compositions are typically the result of long recording sessions, that are either mangled and recombined, or just left untouched. This live session incarnates this approach, with electronic guitar sounds going through intricated sound chains generating loops, drones, and glitches in a pure form of experimentation.

Syoqh aka David Ortolá is a musician and electronic music producer from València, Spain. We are thrilled to present his first public installment of his modular project Inferno - gamma. Inferno takes shape in collaboration with @machines-desirantes AV, who worked together with David in developing the original concept. The modular nature of Inferno makes it multifaceted and multiform, from experimental to techno. That's why every live set is marked with a different Greek letter.

"The fact that I’m naming all these different live sets Inferno has a basis. I aim at creating motion through monolithic layers and oppressive densities, to fashion out-of-breath textures in search of air, to look deep inside and dance away the inhumanity".

Delikwe is an Italian DJ and producer based in Lisbon. Influenced by dub, ambient music, soundsystem culture, and exploratory electronics, his work goes through texture, space, and gradual transformation. Whether in the studio or behind the decks, he is interested in creating moments where movement and deep listening can coexist. Through releases such as Momento and Agna Street* Words Create Vibrations on @mole-audio, he continues to investigate atmospheric sound design, subtle rhythmic structures, and the transformative potential of sound.

This mix explores quieter territories, moving between meditative ambient passages, spacious dub echoes, and subtle rhythmic undercurrents. A slow and immersive journey designed for deep listening, reflection, and moments of stillness.

Driven by a lifelong passion for music and dance, Luis FMR is now immersing himself in the art of mixing and communicating through deep, hypnotic soundscapes. From the early days with the dub collective Untity Sound Crew to the more recent Transversal project, and being part of the @art-bei-ton collective from Berlin, he continues to express his love for music through mystery and storytelling. His sets invite audiences into a ritualistic journey of movement and connection, encouraging a free dance experience that unfolds into moments of collective trance.

This mix is an immersive sonic vision exploring the relationship between planet Earth and humankind, taking listeners on a journey through space using NASA samples and the Gaia concept developed by James Lovelock. The mix also features excerpts from Lovelock’s speech during the celebration of his 100th birthday, included in the track "Ages of Gaia" by @bancodegaia , which forms part of the set.

Based in Madrid, Alfonso Pomeda has built a strong reputation over the years, becoming a key reference within the techno and experimental scene. Best known for his work as a DJ, specializing in demanding and experimental music, positioned at the crossroads of slow-tempo dub, experimental music, and repetitive techno, Alfonso curates the festivals @mostrabcn in Barcelona, Sonikas in Vallecas, and @chaosambiants in France. Alongside all of this, he is co-director of @espacio-perpendicular, one of the key umbrella projects within Madrid’s underground music scene. Moreover, F-on performs regularly at leading clubs and festivals around the world, most recently at @parallelfestival Festival, as well as at @vurtkr and @gare-porto.

"This is the set I performed at Temple, the listening sessions held at Espacio Perpendicular. My set took place during the first moments of the night, and my intention was to create an uncomfortable and visceral atmosphere with varying levels of intensity and extreme contrasts. During the two-hour set, I weaved together three distinct layers of sound to create a new track using field recordings, computed music, drones and other sounds from electroacustic music. Tracks by Francisco Lopez, @natashabarrett, @stephane-a-roy, Yannick Dauby, Murmer, Eric la Casa, @christina-kubisch, Carl Michael Von Hausswolff, Miguel A. Garcia..."
