A Nebraska elementary school principal has been placed on administrative leave after banning candy canes from her school, FOX 42 reports. She reportedly sent a memo to school administrators to ensure no Christmas-related imagery appeared on assignments or in classrooms. In the memo, Principal Jennifer Sinclair allegedly wrote of candy canes: "Historically, the shape is a ‘J’ for Jesus. The red is for the blood of Christ, and the white is a symbol of his resurrection.
