Uma Jitendra Vaidya Mehta was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan in June 1990. Her father's last name "Mehta" means "greatly praised" denoting the chief of the village, ancestrally linking to business owners and merchants. On her mother's side, she carries a powerful healing and Ayurvedic bloodline, whose ancestors were freedom fighters that marched with Gandhi.
