Prepare ye the way! Now that my first musical has come and gone, it’s time to recap a few highlights. So often in life we are buried underneath a pile of lies. No one is immune to this. No matter what our background or history is we have all been exposed to lies in one form or another. These lies come in many forms. From people directly communicating words to us, to things that we see and hear. In any event, a lie is a lie. And the only thing to get us out of a lie, is the truth. When you are presented with an opportunity to do something new, or scary, or uncomfortable what do you do? What choice do you make? Even if you do nothing and don't DO the thing in front of you, even that is making a choice. Here is episode 28 you'll hear my true story of when I simply tried. Sometimes we are so use to playing small and not living in the arena. We have grown accustom to participating with limited thinking, which holds us back in life. We don't intend to do this, but this tends to be what happens especially if we do not surround ourselves with critical thinkers, and open minded individuals, who want more in life. "In your anger you have lost your humanity" is her conclusion of the woman who was harassing her. When a 26 years old is expressing her sadness and "Karen" responds with data and her personal opinion, this creates division and strife. We're gonna dive right into this true story in Episode 25. I have discovered that most of us have internal beliefs creates limitations in our lives. How often do you find yourself shrinking back, staying quiet, and not taking action? This can happen in any area of life, your marriage, at work, or maybe in practical ways. Like wanting to buy the expensive bra, or walking up to the handsome man who's not wearing a wedding ring to strike up a conversation. We want to do these things, but don't. Have you asked yourself why? We have unintentionally adopted these limited beliefs about ourselves and about what is possible. Here in episode 24 I brought back one of my closest friends, my mom! For Self Sabo part 2 I've decided to tell on myself. Since transparency is such a part of my value system, I figured I'd show up warts and all. When we are not being fully honest about our struggles it's easy to spiral into shame and self judgement. I have discovered shrinking back and hiding from our flaws does not help us grow. Life is a journey and we will always have ups and downs. Even still, we can choose to be brave enough to look at our struggles. Self Sabotage can be a lifestyle if we are not aware of it. For me on my own journey it's important for me to be willing to acknowledge the truth. That's what I have done in this episode.
