Harris County approved a new $30 million relief fund to support micro and small businesses recovering from the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Small Business Recovery Fund was created with funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and is being administered by LiftFund, a nonprofit community development financial institution. Eligible small business owners may apply for financial support in the form of grants. LiftFund’s mission is to provide credit and services to small businesses and entrepreneurs who do not have access to loans from commercial sources and to provide leadership and innovation in the microlensing industry.
