Tony sits down this week to talk with Eli Methvin about what really matters. Eli grew up Southern Baptist and now practices Wicca, which is a pagan faith. Tony and Eli talk about the nature of art, the role of ritual in wicca, Eli's experience of feeling rejection because of a sermon in the church he grew up in, and how Eli perceives and experiences the divine. Both Fr Parrish and Tony were very grateful for Eli's willingness to have this conversation. As a final note Eli identifies with he/him pronouns, and both Tony and Father chose to honor that request. We had asked to step out of our bubble a few weeks ago and this was an opportunity to do that.
