STUDY GUIDE
We can find ourselves on a hamster wheel of chasing the good life so easily. Who doesn’t want to be happy or finally have found balance in life? But the question for us is, how does God fit into our good life. As we look at the beginning of the story of Elijah, we encounter a story where provision and famine are front and center. God is the one who both starts the drought but also the one who provides. This challenges the good life that Israel had been enjoying. It should challenge us too. Is chasing the “good life” the point? Or is it rather that we know God in both seasons of feasting and famine?
