In this sermon, we think through whether Elijah was afraid of Jezebel or whether he was broken because of her failure to keep the covenant. If the latter is the correct interpretation, we see the implication of this being worked out in Elijah's life and the Lord's tenderness with him. We ask the question as to when we are broken because we see the Lord's name dishonoured and we also think about how the Lord is tender with us.
First preached: 17th May 2026.
Speaker: James McNay.
