The wicked King Ahab told his wicked wife Jezebel all about Elijah’s victory on Mt. Carmel, which included Elijah having killed four hundred and fifty of Jezebel’s beloved prophets of Baal. For this she sent a messenger to Elijah with a promise to have him killed. Elijah ran for his life and ended up at Mt. Sinai. There God ministered to the prophet with His presence and gave him instructions which included raising up Elisha.
