Liz grew up in Delaware. After college in New England, she ended up working in San Francisco as the arts editor of a small arts and politics newspaper. At 24, in a bar on the dry docks, she met 64-year-old commercial salmon fisherman, pilot, world trophy guide, and trapper Alfred Wik who lured her to Nikiski, Alaska. She fell into platonic love with Alfred and so many creative and naturally rogue local, Kenai characters. She started commercial fishing, loved it, and continued for 20 years. She met her future husband, graduated with a masters in architecture from the U of W, had a son, and got divorced. She married another fisherman, had a daughter, and was widowed. She currently runs two businesses out of her home: Homes with a Soul, Gardens with Intention, which is an architectural practice, and a medical intuitive service, Vitality Life Force Consulting.
