Elohim: The strong creator

We meet God as Elohim at the very beginning of the Bible—at the creation of the world. This is the first name we know Him by. By this name we know God as the creator of all. He spoke, and all things came into being—nothing was made outside of Him.

“In the beginning God [Elohim] created the heavens and the earth.”

-Genesis 1:1 (ESV)
