A little over a week after posting a Twitter poll asking if the platform supports free speech, Elon Musk is putting his money where his mouth is. The man behind Tesla purchased a 9% stake in the company, making him the largest individual shareholder. Only time will tell what Musk plans to do with his newly obtained influence but based on previous statements, it appears as though he’ll try to influence its censorship policies. Some are speculating this is just the first play in Musk’s bid to acquire an even larger stake in the company. Will his involvement in Twitter be a net positive for society? The Pentagon researched the best way to contact aliens and communicate with a possible 4,590 extraterrestrial civilizations, according to secret U.S. files. The revelations come after the Sun obtained a trove of documents pertaining to extraterrestrials through a Freedom of Information Act request. The report, commissioned by the U.S. government, states its goal is to "ascertain whether alien civilizations exist in the universe, how far from us they exist and possibly how much more advanced than us they may be." Essentially, the documents are telling us that aliens are real, and the U.S. government knows they’re real. The real question now is what else is the government hiding?
