Summary Isa 5-8
Chp 5
Parable of the vineyard
Isaiah singing a song to the Lord speaking in a parable.  He is comparing God’s chosen people, the tribe of Judah to a vineyard. He asks the questions what more could have been done for the vineyard because it yielded only bad grapes. He speaks about  hedge of protection will be taken away, and destructions will come upon them because of their rebellious ways. A drought will be experienced because there will be no rain.  This is the result of when the Lord looked for justice but only saw bloodshed and for righteousness he only heard distress.
Woes for the wicked
The chp concludes with talking about the sorrow and distress that will come upon the wicked because of their sinful and rebellious ways.
 
Chp 6
Speaks about the call, commission of Isaiah that he is called to a wicked people.  It gives detail about is experience being called.
 
Chp 7
War against Jerusalem--- the king of Israel and the king of Syria collaborated to go to war against the Jerusalem, however God sends Isaiah to speaks to King Ahaz to assure him that this will not take place.  God speaks to Ahaz telling him to ask for a sign from the Lord but Ahaz refuse to ask because it was like putting the Lord to a test about what had already been spoken.  Chp ends with describing the trials that will come upon Judah

 Describes the fall of Damascus and Samaria
