Neo’s awakening may therefore be more than an escape from an artificial reality. It may represent the moment a person recognizes that the external system has been reproducing itself internally.

The greatest victory of the Matrix occurs when its voice becomes indistinguishable from your own.

It no longer has to say:

“You cannot.”

You begin saying:

“I cannot.”

It no longer has to forbid your growth.

You call your fear realism.

It no longer has to imprison you physically.

It teaches you to reject the door before you ever attempt to open it.
