Atmospheric Pressure

It can be hard to break into the DJ scene and even harder to make any kind of living out of it. These days, I DJ for the love of it but at one point it was my primary source of income. I was playing mostly trance and there wasn’t really a big trance scene in Sydney at the time. However, the music suited a really important part of the evening/morning - the late set.

So I started DJing late night/early morning private gigs, mostly at people’s houses, and the concept of the wake up set was born. It was a combination of the most ethereal, atmospheric, minimal trance I could find and it suited that period between leaving the club and starting the day (whatever that may have entailed).

I decided to update the wake up set concept and the result is this mix, Atmospheric Pressure. It’s a combination of deep progressive and tech house with some minimal techno to help you ease out of or into the day.
