It is impossible to not recognize the name — Elvis Aaron Presley. A Memphis-born singer who revolutionized music from 1935-1977. His influence on music continues to live on to this day and has even inspired director and writer Baz Luhrmann to create a 2-hour and 30-minute-long film honoring the legacy it has left. The film has made over $284 million worldwide, received loads of support, and is easily one of the best films of 2022. At this point, I’d say it’s obvious what I think about the film so today’s episode is much more than a review. I will be exploring the film’s purpose and what emotions it provokes with (of course) a hot cup of coffee.
(hot because fall is right around the corner)
Cheers!
