Elyas was awarded the Anne & Gordon Samstag International Visual Arts Scholarship in 2019 which enabled him to undertake a Master of Fine Arts at Chelsea College of Arts, London. He discusses the process of applying, selecting an institution, the factors influencing his decision and how he navigated the disruption of a global pandemic.
