Eman Hassan’s life took a devastating turn after marrying Abdelrahim, an Egyptian man living in Germany whom she met through a mutual acquaintance. Abdelrahim painted a false picture of himself, claiming to be a hotel manager with financial security, when in reality he worked as a chef and lived far from the life he had promised.
Once Eman joined him in Germany, the truth became painfully clear. She endured his controlling behavior, financial manipulation, and repeated physical abuse. Despite giving birth to two children, she remained in the marriage, trapped by fear of losing them and her limited understanding of German law.
Her suffering escalated after the birth of their third child. In a premeditated act of cruelty, Abdelrahim—together with his brother Khaled—murdered her. Eman’s body was eventually discovered, and both men were arrested, leaving behind a story of deception, abuse, and a young mother’s life cut short by those who should have protected her.
