You'll rejoin us as the Reiki component wraps up and we move into the discussion. This is what I noticed as a Calgary Reiki practitioner, what they noticed and experienced, and how it relates to what is happening for them in their real life.

This is Science. Holding. Flow. in practice. You don't need to believe anything, and you don't need to do anything. You just need to show up, get comfortable, and let yourself be held.

Episode 11! We continue the the real-life long-distance love that began across continents. I left you at the airport, now I take you through the nitty gritty, the final struggles before (and during) the plane to Calgary. There are some neat moments of intuition and energy resonance (read: shared panic attacks) that continued to affirm this was the way.

This is Part 2 of "Love is... Long Distance," and it's less about the surreal circumstances that started it, and more about what it actually takes to follow intuition once it's spoken. The unwavering knowing in my gut and nervous system that this was it. This was worth the risk.  

Welcome to the Calgary end of the story — the place I kept returning to, year after year, with the intuitive knowledge that this was where I was meant to be. Turns out Calgary held my heart in more ways than I realized! This city full of Energy was like a magnet to me in so many ways.

Episode 10! Love is... Long Distance (Part 1) .  A real life Love Story that spans continents and timezones. All the lessons, nudges and inklings in my love life led me to have a surreal set of circumstances to the beginning of this relationship.

Episode 9! The Wandering Nerve. It's a gooder. There is so much internet intel around dysregulation... I wondered if we could get practical for a moment (and perhaps a bit nerdy) and follow the path of the Vagus nerve IN YOUR BODY! Wild! From the Conceptual into Present time and space. 

Let's take a look at how our meat suits know stuff. The biofeedback that's constantly happening without us even paying attention... And then when you start paying attention what might show up and what you can do about it (or not). ** During this episode I reference HRV Status on my Garmin - which stands for Heart Rate Variable... My accent makes it a bit tough to decipher what acronym I said. 

One question though... do all things lead back to a Grey's Anatomy episode or is it just me? Ha!

Episode 8! In a continuation of nerding out on some science theory, this week we take a look at the TTM (Transtheoratical Model) of Stages of Motivational Change. By understanding where you may sit in any given situation, it might help open some doors or windows into why and what you actually want to do about it (if anything).

We build a bit more on last week's gate theory and ponder with gentle curiosity. The TTM might begin to show itself in different ways as you move through life now you know about it. From family members to colleagues, to signing up for a new subscription or booking an appointment. Where are you and where might they be in this motivational process? Is this an opportunity to save some of that life energy or is this going to light you up?! A conversation that simply gives more choices via reflection.

Episode 7! This is where you see my nerdy side. For the love of all things anatomy; yet another facet where 'being human' and science meet.

I do love a theory, I love it even more when it makes sense and has practical application. Gate theory can be seen innately in how we respond to something as mundane as stubbing your toe. It can be practiced in so many areas of life, from giving birth to pain management (big or small) across both the physiological and emotional responses. Aren't human's amazing? Even more so when we know what works for us.
