It is my birthday, or a couple days ago was my birthday, but the weekend is upon us and my wife is surprising me with a lovely weekend away. Now, a couple years ago, probably even a year ago, but probably a couple years ago, I would have spent so much time and energy trying to figure out where we're going, poking, prodding, asking certain questions of her to get an idea of the climate, the temperature, what kind of activities we would be doing, and I was really good at it. In fact, I could almost always pinpoint exactly where we were going each and every time without actually telling, but what happened was it really drained on her. I was ruining the surprise for her.
