185 Embrace Your Inner Peacock

In this episode, I'm continuing on with this theme of perfectionism, and how you can zap out of this by connecting to your inner peacock, and allow your colorful feathers to unfurl. You'll learn how to diffuse the things that hold you back, and finally get out from your own way to reach your baby birds through the power of your podcast.

You're here for something bigger beyond the podcast. The podcast is the vehicle. Your words are the ALCHEMY.  The podcasting equipment, the tools, the sound quality, that’s the easy part. That part is just the action we take when we have a compelling reason that drives us.

That’s the kind of HELL YEAH energy you gotta have. I used to play it safe because I feared criticism, or that somehow I wasn't playing by the rules about what I should or shouldn't share about myself, my vision as a coach and as a creative force in the world. I shared these limiting thoughts once with one of my coach friends and she replied ...You know Kara, you are a peacock, so what's the worst that could happen if you unfurl your feathers?"   When you embrace your inner peacock it reminds you of who you are. You get to see yourself in full Technicolor … Flaws and all.   How can you remind yourself how magnificent you are and really truly feel this in your skin? 

Is there something running in the background of your brain that is habitual? This might not show up right away or seem obvious, but keep searching for that hidden obstacle that keeps you stuck in the cage of perfectionism.

Now go out there and unfurl your feathers and fly your freak flag!
