Today's tidbit for overcoming daily is this... the overcomer embraces every challenge, for His glory. Let me say that again. The overcomer embraces every challenge for God's glory.

Too often, I have seen believers running from their challenges, or actually even trying to combat their challenges, versus embracing them. Now, don't get me wrong, I have been one of those people that have ran from challenges, or just simply try to kill them. And sometimes when we're just simply trying to like, get past it challenge, we're just trying to avoid being uncomfortable.

We're not really overcoming. We just want life to be easy. And a lot of times we just, in that saying, like, we just want life to be easy, a lot of times we're not overcoming or trying to overcome challenges for God, but actually for ourselves.

What I have learned in all of my attempts to overcome is that the only way to overcome is to embrace a challenge. It's like a strong, intimate hug, that's uncomfortable. Many of my coaching clients have heard me say time and time again for them to embrace their porcupine. Porcupines are prickly. And can produce some discomfort. But I also remind them that that porcupine can not kill or destroy them.

There's no challenge that can kill or destroy you because we have the blood of the Lamb. Now don't get me wrong, there are challenges in this world that can actually take our lives, but what are our lives? Is our life more important than eternity? We have eternal life. Why do we cleave to this life and this world?

Well, we are not of this world. We have a citizenship that comes from heaven. What I've learned is that it's next to impossible to overcome until you embrace every challenge. It took me 12 long, consecutive years to learn this lesson. And there's positives to that. I know what works and I know what doesn't work because I took the long road and I'm hoping to give you, the listener, some shortcuts.
