Healthy Roots Dolls is a toy company that creates dolls and storybooks that empower young Black kids how to care for their curls and make them feel beautiful.

Yelitza shared that toys impact how we think, act, and perceive ourselves. So when girls can’t find dolls that look like them, it negatively impacts their self-esteem.

She also shares her personal journey of embracing her gorgeous curly hair. Yelitza is a powerhouse in the toy industry and is paving the way for more diversity and inclusivity.
