This week on Therapy Talks we are joined by Dr. Amy Marschall. We delve into the complexities of obtaining official diagnoses for neurodiversity, such as ADHD and autism, along with the value of such diagnoses. The episode highlights issues like under-diagnosis in adults, workplace discrimination, and the practicality of accessing support and resources even without formal diagnoses. We also explore the concept of "masking" within the neurodivergent community and its implications, particularly for autistic individuals.
