Emerald rebellion
- (📝Marcella Boccia) -
Beneath the veil
of endless green
where cliffs kiss skies
in shadows keen
your land bleeds wild
a rebel’s song
a hymn of ghosts
who still belong
The winds howl dark
through broken spires
fields of ash
long-dead fires
cathedrals cracked
their truths undone
your Ireland stands
a feral son
Rain carves
scars on ancient stone
your story whispered
never known
Whiskey burns
where hearts should beat
poisoned dreams
on cobbled streets
But oh
your veins run fierce
with fight
a whiskey-drunk
moonlit night
a broken crown
a shattered throne
Ireland
you are dark
alone
Take my hand
let’s haunt the bars
trace constellations
forgotten scars
Show me your rage
your tender wrath
together we’ll walk
the untamed path
For beauty
here is sharp and raw
a love that bites
a wolf’s wild paw
So burn with me
let’s tear it apart
your rebel Ireland
my restless heart
