As if the East Side of Madison needed anything else to cement its status as the place for cool, creative and community-minded citizens to congregate, this Saturday’s first-ever Emerson East-Eken Park Art Walk just might settle the issue once and for all. Thursday 8 O’Clock Buzz host Tony Castañeda welcomes East Side residents and artists (Susan Kay, a ceramicist, and graphic designer/illustrator Charlotte Easterling) who are among the talented folks behind the conceptualization and culmination of the inaugural neighborhood artwalk. To learn more about the event, which runs Saturday, September 24 from 10-3 and includes some 60 artists at 35 locations, visit their website where you’ll find information on the artists, a map and guide to the artwalk and info on how you can support this enterprising endeavor.
