Be Significant

Emily Brydon: Slopes and Sustainability

Listen Later

You'd think that 30 years of training, 3 trips to the Olympics and 9 visits to the World Cup podium (with a win in the Super G in St. Moritz) would be enough significance for one life-time for Emily Brydon, but it is clear that this former Canadian alpine skier is just getting started. With her very hands-on contribution to the Foundation she created (https://wp.emilybrydonyouthfoundation.com/), she makes sure that the next generation of Canadian athletes, artists and teachers do not have to deal with the struggles and obstacles she faced to become a world-class athlete and a world-class contributor to society. In her current role as the Senior Director of Network Planning and Construction for FLO, she is focused on making a healthier planet by helping grow Canada’s largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network. You won't want to miss her tell her fanstastic roller-coaster life story and seemingly impossible journey to international success.
