14-year-old Emily Pike, whose remains were found 100 miles away from the group home in Mesa, Arizona, where she was living, had run away four times over the period from 2023 to 2025. Twice, she told officers that she did not want to return to the group home because of the conditions there, including hardcore cleaning duties and much yelling between staff and residents, allegedly. Her four missing persons reports have been made public, and they shed light on what her world was like before she went missing for the last time. 
Tragically, her remains were found on February 14, of 2025, on a remote forest service road near Globe, Arizona.
