Just a studio update from me! The ballad you hear me singing in the middle is the Three Ravens, which I learned as a child at the Vancouver Folksong Society (I can't remember from whom; maybe Maura Volante?) My family sings ballads, so they and all sorts of songs are a huge part of how I process life. These days there's a lot of grief happening in my home, we've lost two of our parents in just 18 months. And from the trauma of their excruciating deaths, we've healed by creating. So I sang this song a lot recently, along with a few others, and now I've painted it.
