Emilyn Brodsky plays the ukulele with so much fire that you have to wonder why she doesn’t make the move to electric guitar… well, because she’s chosen her weapon, and it’s that tiny stringed instrument that she bashes away at while singing and commanding the stage with a similar intensity. This is part folk, part punk, but not entirely either one in the traditional sense. We’re kind of fascinated by Emilyn (she’s very chatty and has a way of drawing you into her world quickly) and we think you will be too. Check out this fun session recorded live at Serious Business Music in DUMBO, Brooklyn to see for yourself.
